February 20 - Cookies Cookies Cookies

156 cases of cookies in the Honda mini-van
It's cookie time! Teresa (our troop cookie mom) and I went to the local pickup spot a few weekends ago and picked up our troop's first order of cookies. It was my first pickup experience. Cars are directed down one of two different lanes were there are literally semi's full of cookies. We pull up, open the truck an boxes are loaded. Teresa's mini-van was stacked to absolute capacity, it was crazy (next year we will definitely take two cars). Then we headed back to her house and organized them by girl. Next up....everyone picks up their order and has to organize them by specific orders. Fun times! Julia delivered all of the cookies to JD's work last week and we delivered to our neighbors yesterday. I need to mail a few orders but we can finally see our counters again.

Can you guess who enjoyed the cookies the most? Well, that would be my number one furry baby, Amelia Peabody. Amelia ate an entire box of lemonades last weekend. We laughed about it (dog food will surly taste bland now!) and I expected her to be a little sick, but she end up being sick for several days. She was so sick she stopped drinking water and eating completely. We took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. They gave her a bag of IV fluids and anit-nausea meds and she was luckily back to her normal self in 24 hours.

Poor Amelia

Mom, I promise I will never eat lemonades again!

February 16 - T Day

Thursday is now know as "T Day." What is T Day? Luke's tennis lessons at Bay Oaks across the street. He started a few weeks ago and absolutely loves it. There are only a few kids and coach Seth does a great job with them. Luke has a mean backhand!

In other news, little Jillian is 5 months old. Wowsa! The formula is doing it's work and she is chunking up nicely. She is rolling all of the place now, and this morning we found her with her legs sticking out of the crib. Little rascal! She is really grabbing things now, loves to laugh and can sit up with assistance. We all love her!

February 12 - Busy Birthday

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. I missed almost everyone's calls yesterday because we had a jam packed day. Julia, Jillian and I started the day off at diving, where Julia learned how to do an inward dive tuck!! Such a proud mommy moment!! After diving, we headed to a different pool for the last swim meet of the club season. We met up with JD and Luke, ate some lunch, and then Luke, Jillian and I headed home before Julia swam because...yesterday was also our school fair, the biggest fundraiser of the year. I was scheduled to work the entire day at the fair. Unfortunately, during my first shift, Luke told me he didn't feel well and started projectile vomiting. So..I headed home with him and we waited for Julia and JD to get home from the swim meet. When they arrived, Julia and I headed back to the fair for the rest of the afternoon. JD and I cancelled my birthday dinner, but we had a nice takeout from a local Italian restaurant and some delicious birthday cake. It was a long day, didn't go as planned, but still wonderful!

February 6 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Thank you Jeff Kinney for writing the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I usually have to force Julia to read, but she loves these books. LOVES THEM! We picked up two new ones from the library on Saturday and she started reading immediately when she got into the car. She requested I take her to Starbucks afterwards so we could get some hot cocoa and read together. Um..I cannot resist that. Then at night, she decided to get in bed with me so we could read next to each other. HEART MELTING PEOPLE! 100%, so in love with this little reading child. She's read two books in the last 3 days. Simply incredible!

February 1 - Mythical Unicorn

Something very rare is about to happen-you are about to see a bunch of pictures of a mythical unicorn...yours truly. Yes, the woman (mom) behind the camera is posting a bunch of pictures of herself. I flew to Orlando last Wednesday for our national sales meeting. My friend (and co-worker) Cara and I enjoyed a glass of wine in Disney Springs (previously known as Downtown Disney), had an amazing sushi dinner and then went to La Nouba (Cirque du Soleil show) which was incredible. We spent all day Thursday and Friday morning in meetings and had Friday afternoon free. We went to Epcot with one of our other friends and co-workers, Jennifer, as well as one of our sales agents from North Carolina. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we had a blast walking around, sampling food from all the different countries. We went on ever ride there was (except the new Frozen themed one, which had a huge wait) and ate a delicious dinner in Germany. We even stayed and watched fireworks, which were incredible.

Saturday was another day of...meetings! That evening was the awards dinner, also known as the second time of year I get to get dressed up (the other time being, JD's company holiday party). I flew back home on Sunday and was excited to see the family. Also, special thanks to Grammie for coming out and helping JD with the kids!
