June 30 - Practicing her J's

During our girl scout zoom meeting last week, Jillian decided to work on her J's.

All.Over.The.Walls.

And draw all over her face.

Never a dull moment!

June 22 - Pool Time

Happy belated Father's Day to all the dad's out there. Yes, that includes dad's to fur babies too! We spent the day at our neighborhood pool, which has finally opened. They have some new rules this year-no guests and families must social distance. The pool chairs and loungers are all spaced apart and they are disinfecting everything every night. I was worried it would be busy but we had the place entirely to ourselves! It was a great day!

June 12 - Oops She Did It Again

There is nothing like being on a conference call and finding this outside:

Yes, she did it again. How does this keep happening? Well, we had a nice spell of no mud with the new fence. Now, our neighbors have a broken sprinkler head shooting water directly into our side yard creating a never-ending mud pit.

And quick kid update..
And here is our little cutie pie, love this girl!

Here is my big cutie pie, baking up a storm!

My little man...playing with the kitten upstairs and I can't get a good pic!

June 10 - Lucky the Kitten

Last Saturday, one of our neighbors, a fellow GS mom, texted me and asked if I could stop over because they have trapped a kitten in their garage. Julia and I headed over to see what we could do. The garage was dark and had 2 cars parked in it, with the door closed. I saw the kitten when we first got there (she ran under the car really fast) but after 2 hours, we couldn't find her again. I advised the mom to open the garage door so the kitten could get out (her husband didn't want to) and we headed out. A few days later, the same mom texted me again. They set up a live animal trap (like one you would use to trap a squirrel in the attic) and captured the kitten. She was going to take the kitten to a kill shelter. Even though I am not a cat person, I couldn't let this happen. So...

Lucky is now at our house. Lucky is a 'she' and approx. 8 weeks old. The first afternoon we had her, it took her 5+ hours before she would leave the cage.
She was very afraid of everything. Luke has spent hours with her and now they are literally BFF's. She is currently living in Luke's room (yes, with Peter Parker the hamster and Luke swears the hamster isn't stressed out). Luke is feeding her and managing the littler box. She literally sleeps curled up on his chest! We haven't introduced the dogs yet so we'll see how that goes. Bella is super interested and spends a lot of time outside Luke's door. Apollo could care less about her.

Stay tuned for updates..

Luke's in love
