May 27 - Slip n' Slide

Well, the plastic baby pool is proving to be lots of fun for Jillian but a tad small for the big kids. Honestly, the baby pool is too small for Jillian but she still has fun with it! So this past weekend we became the proud owners of a slip n' slide. Julia and Luke played with it for HOURS! After Luke went inside to dry off, Julia invited Bella over and then Julia and Bella played for HOURS! Apollo meanwhile, was hiding from everyone under a bush. Another great weekend in Houston-well, maybe not great exactly, but we are trying to make it fun.

If I lay here quietly, maybe they won't see me..

May 18 - Mother's Day

"That breakfast looks good" - Bella
Happy belated Mother's Day to all the mamacitas out there. I totally forgot about mother's day until a few days prior and neglected to send cards or flowers. Sorry! I will do better next year.

So how was my Mother's Day? Pretty great. JD and the kids brought me homemade french toast in bed with a mimosa to start the day off. My gift on Mother's Day is to "take the day off" and spend it reading. Normally I would go to Barnes and Noble but since we live in a new normal right now, I stayed upstairs reading for hours while JD took care of the kids. We capped off the day with homemade pizzas. It was a fabulous, relaxing day!

Pizzas for the win!

and for some random pics..

Julia wore a mask in public for the first time when she went to school last week for locker cleanout. They allowed 10 kids per every 15min.

So much personality!

May 14 - Baby Pool

If there is any time I wish we had a pool...that time is NOW. I researched above ground pools but even the cheap ones are expensive, so we went with the $10 baby pool route. And guess what? It does the trick! The kids have been having fun with it, even Bella!!

These two played outside together for a long time last week!

May 5 - Bella is ONE

Bella turned one last Sunday! Julia made homemade dog biscuit to celebrate and as it turns out..Bella who usually eats everything wouldn't eat them. But my picky eater, Apollo, loved them!! I took the dogs on an extra long walk to celebrate that evening and attempted a "dog photo shoot" in front of some pretty flowers...dogs are just as difficult as children when you try to get them to look at you at the same time!

Best human sister ever!

Photo shoot!

And guess who has discovered the joys of makeup?
