October 3 - Fall Adventures

Happy fall everyone! We are finally experiencing some cooler weather here (and by cooler I mean mid-80's during the day and mid-60's at night). We are loving it!! We went to the zoo last weekend with some friends in the neighborhood and had a great time. We watched the elephants get baths, went on the merry-go-round (Julia had to sit on her favorite animal, the yellow lab), had a delicious picnic lunch and the kids all played on the playground in the children's area. This past weekend, it rained a lot so we went to one of the best places on earth-the library! Julia put on a puppet show for J.D. and I, both kids played on the computer and Julia picked out some fun books to check out. It was a fab time!!

In other news, Julia is becoming quite the little girl and mommy helper. She now picks out Luke's clothes every morning and his pj's every night. She no longer sleeps with her blanket (Mom-I am not a baby and I don't need it anymore). She also started making her own bed!! Our routine at night (after baths and brushing teeth) is for Julia and Luke to snuggle under the covers in Julia's bed and we read Julia's books. Then we move into Luke's room and read Luke's books. When Luke lays down, she puts the blanket on him and tries to pat him to sleep. It is beyond adorable!! As far as the little man goes, he is starting to express his own opinions and doesn't always want to follow her lead, but they play well together...most of the time. He is also doing better in his toddler bed and we're all sleeping a little better at night.

Also-please check out the house blog ('Our First House' link on the right side of this blog) to see pictures of our new red kitchen. It looks awesome!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!
