All good things must come to an end. So after a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, it was time for the NC Cook's to head back home. Julia sobbed the entire way home from the airport and was upset in her room for hours. Later that night at dinner, I asked the kids what their favorite part of the holiday was. I thought Julia had calmed down enough for this...hope. She immediately started sobbing again and I was inundated with "Why do we have to live so far away from our family? Why?" She then informed Luke and I about her plan to run away to NC so she can live with Andrew and Victoria.
I asked how she planned to get there and she said on her electric scooter. Ever the practical child, Luke responded with "You'll never make it. It will run out of power and you won't be able to charge it."
Many thanks for Greg, Jill and the kids and Jay for all coming out and celebrating with us. We had a wonderful week with everyone. We missed Bryan, Brian, Craig and Grandpa and hope you guys had a great holiday.
Now..time to prepare for Christmas!
