Mia, Julia, Kendall, Madi
Two years ago, Julia and Kendall did a mud run and loved it. They signed up again this year with two additional friends (Mia and Madi). Kendall made everyone shirts and we headed up to the sports park Saturday morning ready to go! It's an hour drive to the sports park where the race takes place. The girls had a flight time of 11.30-12pm. We left the house at 10am, drove up there, exited the highway, and then proceeded to sit in traffic for 2+ hours to drive less than a mile (0.6 miles on the access road). It was INSANE! From where we were sitting in traffic, there was a complete jam getting into/out of the park. A man finally came out and directed traffic. The girls finally started the race around 1.30pm.
They had an absolute blast and were MUDDY! Way more muddy than 2021. It took them about an hour. Afterwards, they hosed off at the park and then we went back to the car to clean off more (each girl had a gallon of water and pack of baby wipes) and then we headed out for lunch. Then they all came over, plus one more girl, for a sleepover at our house.
It was a long day but happy to support breast cancer research.
Before
go girls!
May the 4th be with you! :)
