November 1 - Running in the Cold

Sunday: 85 and crazy humid.
Monday: 40, overcast and drizzling rain.

On Monday, Luke had his first cross country meet after school. He didn't want to wear any cold gear but luckily packed them and was glad he did. It was CHILLY out there! He only made 2 practices last week due to the robotics conflict and he did great. 61st place out of approx. 100 7th grade boys. Super proud of him!

When Julia ran XC in middle school, the season started in November with the district (championship) meet in early February. For some reason, the season was truncated this year and the district meet is December 4th. He won't be able to make a lot of practices due to robotics and the coach is making the kids run weekly time trials to qualify for meets (with increasingly faster times needed each week) so we'll see if he is able to do any more meets.
